Junior Contract Administrator/ Construction Graduate

Role Description:
As the Junior Contract Administrator, your role will involve the management and coordination of a variety of project tasks within our firm’s Brisbane Head office.
Key Responsibilities
- Subcontractor administration including sourcing, awarding and assessing progress claims
- Tender administration including sourcing of quotes, assessment and awarding of contracts to successful tenderer
- Project estimating including material take-offs
- Preparation of quotes for proposed new projects
- Assisting Project Manager and Senior Contracts Administrator with project administration
- Monitoring of project budget
- Liasing with site supervisors as required
- Site attendance as required
- Preparation of project programs in consultation with Construction Manager
- Contributing to development of site specific polices and procedures
- Coordinating project prestart requirements including permits, abolishments and site documentation (including WHS)
- Procurement
- Generating monthly progress reports for each project
- Engagement and coordination of consultants during the design process
- Tracking of approval applications including DA, BA and OPW
- Maintaining the documents library for each project in particular drawing set version control
Requirements:
- Degree in Construction Management/ Project Management etc. – preferred, but not essential.
- Certificate or above in Project Management
- Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role
- Proficiency with Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, MS Project)
- Proficiency in Procore Construction Management software or similar
- Proficiency in use of Cubit Estimating Professional software or similar
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An eye for detail
- An ability to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure
- A systematic approach and good documentation skills
- A broad understanding of the construction industry and regulations
- Ability to plan ahead
- Ability to think on their feet and problem solve
- A positive and determined attitude
- Ability to attend the office every working day
